Procurement Reporting Demo: From KPI to Exception
Synthetic supplier, PO and invoice records with transparent calculations and drill-down.
Status: interactive demonstration using fictional synthetic records only. No client outcomes.
Evidence path
Supplier, item, purchase order and invoice rows: synthetic records only.
Transparent joins, units, price validity and exception handling.
KPI → filter → exception list → source row.
Interactive filters and source-row evidence are available in the demo.
Interactive synthetic demonstration enabled.
KPI definitions and provenance
The demo uses 48 entirely synthetic invoice lines. Filters, review statuses and supporting detail can be traced back to individual source rows. A flag is a review item, not a proven financial claim.
INTERACTIVE DEMONSTRATION
The browser processes 48 entirely synthetic invoice rows with filters, rule checks and source details.
Synthetic sample data – loading the module.
Filter by time, supplier and category
Filter by period, supplier, product category and review status. All controls use the same documented synthetic invoice records. Unmatched rows remain visible as a separate review status.
A defined comparison window
Transaction dates and contract-price effective dates are not interchangeable.
Traceable mapping
Identifiers and alternative names need explicit matching rules.
Explained aggregation
Category totals should follow a documented classification.
Exceptions and source-row drill-down
The intended user journey is KPI → filter → exception → source row. A flagged entry should expose a unique reference, the relevant data version and the rule that produced the flag. Missing or ambiguous identifiers create review cases, not established invoice errors.
Unmatched record
An invoice line cannot be linked reliably; determine why before interpreting it.
Version conflict
Check contract validity, invoice date and unit/currency assumptions.
Source row
A synthetic originating record must explain every displayed example.
Checks, exclusions and unmatched rows
The intended rules address keys, unit conversion, currency, effective-date windows, duplicates and missing references. Each rule requires prerequisites, potential false positives and an explicit unresolved state. “Unmatched” is not an invisible data-cleansing detail.
What the demo does—and does not—prove
A data discrepancy is not the same as a validated contractual claim, an accepted credit or recovered cash. This interactive demonstration uses no client, employer or production data.
Why might invoice lines be unmatched?
Missing identifiers, inconsistent units or absent references can prevent a reliable link. Such rows should be reviewed.
Do the figures demonstrate actual savings?
No. A synthetic anomaly would not prove a real financial claim or cash realization.
Clarify the data and scope together
A scope discussion starts with specific sources, checks and boundaries, not unverified outcomes.
